About
MD-PhD psychiatrist with specialization in psychological and psychiatric anthropology, and HIV and addiction psychiatry. Trained at Harvard, UCSD, University of Chicago, Karlova univerzita in Prague, and UCLA. Currently post-doctoral fellow in addiction and HIV psychiatry in the Department of Family Medicine at UCLA.
Research interests include ethnography, sexuality, identity, substance abuse, behavioral interventions for HIV prevention, cultural psychiatry, and Czech Republic.
I am currently developing an ethnographic project to better identify and reach several hard-to-reach groups of MSM in Los Angeles, with a view to improving HIV prevention programs.
