About
Joseph (Seppi) Lehner is currently a graduate student at the Cotsen Institute of Archaeology at the University of California - Los Angeles. He studies the various intersections of ancient technology, society and political economies. He is currently focusing on raw material acquisition networks and the technological consequences of material availability in Central Anatolia during the Iron Age. His MA research includes applying approaches in metallography and provenance analysis to aid in further clarifying Anatolian Iron Age socio-economic traditions.
Seppi is currently working at Kerkenes Dag, the site of a 7th-6th century BC urban center in what is now the Yozgat province of central Turkey. He has also worked at other sites in Turkey, Egypt and North America.
