About
Originally from Verona, Italy, I am a third year doctoral student at the University of California, Los Angeles. I received my BA from Ca'Foscari University in Venice, and my MA in Italian Studies at The Ohio State University.
My main research interests are Italian political cinema of the 60s and 70s and the representation of power and authority in Italian Film.
In my dissertation, I will concentrate on a specific Italian director, Elio Petri, with the hopes that my study will help to revive academic interest for this amazing director.
In my spare time, I organize events for the Department of Italian at UCLA, I help to manage the activities of the Italian Club, I work with the editorial board of Carte Italiane and I collaborate with the Los Angeles-based newspaper "L'ItaloAmericano."
